The T-type prison in Elazig has been unstructured for months into a stronghold of repression against political prisoners. As a part of this pilot project, exemplary systematic attacks against political prisoners are implemented, which particularly affects the women's cell with prisoners of MLCP, TKP-ML and MKP processes.
The political-Islamic fascism not only attacks every kind of freedom in society as a whole. The prisons, which have filled up with thousands of political activists since the Palace coup of Erdogan, are an important target of fascism against the subjects of social struggles.
Measures taken against prisoners in Elazig Prison including camera surveillance in the cells, weeks of isolation of prisoners in foam cells, prohibition of communication, denial of the lawyer talks, compulsion to expel with the prisoner identification cards etc. The political prisoners resist this attacks and face violence of the state power. Weeks of isolation follow the destruction of the cameras, the refusal of full-body controls and the use of identification cards, which are like the announced single type uniforms for prisoners methods of identity and personality abolition and are to be regarded as psychological, ideological attacks. For weeks, political prisoners have been on a hunger strike until the prison authorities meet their demands. Members of the HDP and family members of the prisoners try to make the prisoner's voice heard. Assurances from the prison administration have so far been fruitless. Against this fascist pilot project, the resistance of the prisoners will be an example of struggle.
