As the centennial of the great October Revolution have been celebrated all over the world with large demonstrations with a big enthusiasm, the task of creating new Octobers and even surpassing it by heading to a world revolution is still in front of world communist movement. Historical experiences proved that such a huge action, spreading a revolutionary fire throughout the world requires an international revolutionary organization. Marxist Leninists from all over the world need this international organization not just to spread a revolutionary wave, but also to reach such a revolution. Because of the development level of imperialist capitalism, revolutions are more tended to become regional, more than one country today. Yet, building such a tool needs continuous effort. And MLKP ardently stands up for this goal with by taking practical steps like involving in ICOR (International Coordination of Revolutionary Organizations and Parties) from the beginning. Since its foundation in 2010, it has become one of the clustering points of revolutionary movement. It now has 48 members from South and North America, Europe, Africa and Asia which also function continentally with the continental gatherings.
ICOR organized some actions throughout the 100th year of October, and made a final to it with the international seminar beforehand its 3rd world conference. The seminar took place in Germany and lasted for 3 days on 6 topics about the lessons from October (more on www.icor.info). Each day, there were more than 1000 attendants including ICOR member organization delegations, other non-member organization members and mostly workers and MLPD members from Germany as hosts. Differences between the parties were felt more especially on the discussions about the changes of imperialist system -mainly about new imperialist countries-, strategy of an international revolution and view on armed uprising. Despite of these ideological and strategic separation points, parties and structures learned from each other, developed their comradeship in this seminar.
The 3rd World Conference (WC) of ICOR right after this seminar evaluated the previous period since the 2nd WC, discussed more deeply about the recent political issues of the world, planned the upcoming political route of ICOR, decided on some common political actions and accepted some resolutions about all of these topics. Reports from continental coordinations showed the exact political situation of ICOR more clearly. Lack of communication and common political works are still the biggest issues. Chronic financial problems and disability to function the structural organs properly are revealing signs that ICOR is still in the phase of build-up.
Most significant and conclusive actions of the previous period seemed to be the health center construction and the international bridges to Kobanê. The extent of this project tested ICOR and its resilience. In spite of hot war conditions, the bridges fulfilled the task with a solid discipline. This is one of teaching examples how the revolutionary movement can act in the times of crisis and revolutionary moments. It was a quick response with an effective result. The project still continues, next with the installation of solar panels and with that, ICOR's relation with Rojava revolution deepens.
Two resolutions of MLKP delegation in the conference were accepted, one about the fascist dictatorship of Erdoğan and other about the situation of Rojava revolution. MLKP contributed to the closing resolution of the conference by suggesting the addition of congratulation and mention of the victory of Raqqa operation and its communist fighters, and by calling for common actions for especially the revolutionaries of PML-RC who are arrested in Spain and communists from ATIK arrested in Munich. What is essential for the future of ICOR in Middle East region is also the commitment of MLKP in the conference on building a regional structure in Middle East. It added its name in the closing resolution stating to undertake this responsibility in ICOR in the following period.
ICOR is trying to develop both its organizational unity through ideological discussions and common political works and inclusiveness among the revolutionary organizations. Apart from ICOR, but also including it, there is still a long road ahead to even see the silhouette of a new unity of communists in the world. Since the dissolution of Komintern in 1943, without a revolutionary organization, Marxist Leninists are always aiming for that as one primary goal on the route to world socialist revolution. Many problems ahead of communists like fragmentation, ideological skidding, loss of revolutionary claim and international viewpoint can only be overcome by taking assertive steps. ICOR is carrying these problems too but it is also one of the stepping stones for moving forward. The 21St century bears the seeds of international revolutions in its essence and it will be full of regional coordinations, anti-imperialist fronts, clusterings, dissolutions and ideological alignments for the germination of these seeds. In this international struggle, communists from Turkey and Kurdistan have already taken their places in the fore front with their solid will and determination.
