The AKP Palace dictatorship attacked to the 700th gathering of the Saturday Mothers, who have been in resistance against the disappearances and political murders for 23 years, started after the murder of Hasan Ocak, the MLKP commander of the Gazi uprising in 1995.

With the command of the Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu for prohibiting the 700th action of the Saturday Mothers, the police blockaded the Galatasaray Square few hours before the action and announced that they will attack if anyone will try to pass through the police block.

After the declaration of the fascist state, the Saturday Mothers announced their determination for the action writing on their twitter page as "The police stated that the district governship banned our 700th sit-in action. We sat here in this square for 699 weeks under any circumstances. And we will do it again this week as well". Together with them, hundreds of supporters headed towards to the Galatasaray Square. The police attacked those who insist on doing their sit-in and detained 47 people, including the families of the victims such as Maside Ocak, Besna Tosun, Ali Ocak, Hasan Karakoç, Sebla Arcan, Faruk Eren.

The crowd including HDP Co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Sezai Temelli with the deputies Ahmet Şık, Hüda Kaya, Serpil Kemalbay, Garo Paylan who were resolved not to leave the square were attacked several times by the police. HDP and CHP MPs stood in front of the water cannons, and were hit by rubber bullets fired at their feet. Hundreds kept on pushing for entering the square against the police brutality, under the slogan "The anger of the mothers will strangle the murderers"

HDP Co-chair Pervin Buldan said: "They created a country that is afraid of mothers' silent cries. This is an impossibly great immorality. We have been looking for the bones of our children for 700 weeks. We will continue our fight until we find the bones of our children. Even if I'm alone, I will always sit in that square."

After the resistance kept on for 2,5 hours and resulted with 47 detains, the Saturday Mothers gave a statement in front of the police barricade. The mothers asked for the detained people to be released and stated that their seek for justice will continue against all fascist suppressions.
