Kurdish activist Hussein Ramin Panahi, who has been detained for months in Iran and has been given death penalty, has begun a hunger strike by stitching up his mouth. According to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Kurdish activist Hussein Ramin Panahi started a hunger strike on Sunday (August 26th), stitching up his lips at Kerec Prison. Panahi, who informed the prison administration with a letter of request, announced that his action would continue until his demands are met. Panahi's demands are as follows: Re-trial, being treated according to prison law and sent to Sine prison, the city he was born in. On the other hand, Panahi was injured when he was transferred to a isolation cell last night. He was taken to the hospital because of his heavy wounds.
