MLKP prisoners have announced to go on hunger strike in all prisons from March 1-15 in solidarity with Leyla Güven, who is on a hunger strike to remove the isolation imposed on Kurdish public leader Abdullah Öcalan.

In the statement issued on behalf of the MLKP prisoners, the following statements were given:
"We greet Leyla Güven's struggle for honor once again. Solidarity initiatives were established with Leyla Güven. We, as MLKP prisoners, demand the abolition of the isolation on the Kurdish public leader Abdullah Öcalan, the legitimate demand of Leyla Güven. We would like to announce that we will be on hunger strike for 15 days between 1-15 March. Leyla Güven is right, isolation must be removed! "
