The peoples of Northe and East Syria, bid farewell to Bayram Namaz (Baran Serhat), the member of the MLKP Central Committee and the representative of Rojava, by giving promise to take his revenge. {divide}

 Along with thousands of people from Kurdish, Arab, Syriac, Assyrian, Armenian, Turkmen nations, the MLKP and YPG/YPJ fighters, as well as fighters from Turkey's revolutionary movement did also participated to the funeral ceremony.

 On the morning, the peoples of Rojava gathered in the Roj Hospital to take Baran Serhat's body with flags and slogans. While the crowd was waiting at the hospital, songs written and composed by Baran Serhat were listened by his own voice.

On the way towards the Serekaniye Martyrs' Cemetery, thousands of people accompanied Baran Serhat's body with slogans "Martyr Baran is Immortal", "We'll take comrade Baran's Revenge". The shops of Serkeniye did also take down the shutters to show their respect to the commander Baran.

After a long march, commander Baran was welcomed by the fighters in the martyrs' cemetery.

The ceremony in the cemetery started with the one minute's silence and afterwards various speeches held by the representatives from various organizations and institutions.

On behalf of the MLKP, Viyan İsyan took the floor. Starting her speech by emphasizing the socialist patriotic character of Baran Serhat, İsyan said "Kurdistan was residing within his heart". After remembering that commander Baran was one of the founders of the Internationalist Freedom Batallion (IFB) as well as the Peoples' United Revolution Movement (HBDH), İsyan stated as follows:

"Many fighters from all across the world came here to IFB and took part in the defense of the revolution. Baran Serhat carried out the freedom struggle of peoples everywhere. We are calling peoples to rise their struggle because Baran Serhat was struggling for this cause (...) He was gathering everyone around him with his great enthusiasm and determination. He was always finding a solution for everything, spreading his hope to everyone. His image is the image of MLKP. His hope is the hope of MLKP. The fascist Turkish state should know that thousands of fighters are ready to take Baran Serhat's revenge. We are the fighters of commander Baran and here, in front of him, we promise to take his revenge!

On his speech, Welid Serekaniye, the YPG/YPJ representative, stated as follows: " Turkish state will not achieve its goal. As his comrades struggle, we will enhance the fight for freedom and equality. Baran Serhat was here to defend the Rojava revolution but he was fighting for the liberation of all parts of Kurdistan. He kept on his struggle for the equality and liberation of all the oppressed. His path is our path. We make his hopes come true. We have destroyed the ISIS and respond those who murdered him as YPG/YPJ/QSD. We, the fighters of Rüstem Cudi give promise to grow Baran Serhat's struggle."

On the ceremony, representatives of TKP ML / TIKKO, DKP/Unity, DKP/BÖG, SYPG (the Association for the Unity and Solidarity of Peoples), Assyrian People's Assembly also gave speeches.

Baran Serhat's family did also send a message to the ceremony: "Condolences to our extended family, his comrades and our party. Bayram choosed a revolutionary life and kept his struggle for 30 years. His place will not be filled easily. He had always responded the torturers with his head held high. After he released from prison, he came to home but one day he left again. We knew that he was in the struggle. We have never cried in front of the enemy, neither will do for the future. We will take strength from him."

After the speeches and messages, commander Baran is bid farewell with slogans "The Martyrs of Revolution are Immortal" "Long live MLKP, Long Live YPG/YPJ".
