The communist leader Bayram Namaz was commemorated on March 29 with a ceremony and torch march at the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in Paris.
In a speech on behalf of MLKP, it was said: "It is not a coincidence that our party and comrade Bayram comrades have been targeted. This assasination was the continuation of Suruç massacre. Our party will ask the accountants of the Fascist political Islamist Erdogan. We will continue to defend the Rojava Revolution."
Speech on behalf of the Kurdish Freedom Movement, Voice of the Prisoners Platform, TKP-ML and the Red Flag were held. After the speeches, those who knew Bayram Namaz shared their memories by taking the floor.
An international warrior named Hogir, shared his memories concerning Baran Serhat's work in the formation of the international freedom battalion. He stated: "Baran comrade shows us the way we will go. Fight until victory".
A participant named Avşin stated that he met Bayram Namaz in 2012 as his pen pal, when he was in prison. "He was a beautiful communist, proud of his Kurdish identity and a beautiful revolutionary," said Avşin. 
After the commemoration event, a torch walk took place in Strasbourg Saint Denis, where the photographs of Bayram Namaz were carried.
