The Turkey Visits of FBI and CIA Directors

In the first half of November, Turkey was invaded by the USA intelligence organisations. The visits one after another of the FBI Director R. Mueller and the CIA Director P. Gross were followed by the visit of Jaap De Hoop Schefeer, the General Secretary of NATO. The CIA Director this time preferred to make a visit together with 22 high-ranking agents. And FBI was already working in collaboration with MIT (National Intelligence Organisation of Turkey) together with its bureau and officials in Ankara for some period. In the same dates, general Yasar Buyukanit, who brought to clear his criminal status by protecting the offenders of the state's counter-guerrilla action carried out in the Semdinli town of Kurdistan, has also made a visit to the USA. When thinking the similar meetings of the USA's high-ranking civilian and military authorities in the near past, it can be said that the USA is in a concrete preparation of some targets of attack.

Thus the USA's counter-spying activities in Iraq, other Middle Eastern countries and Turkey are being taken to a higher level through CIA's renditions, secret prisons and development of live intelligence, and together with the reconstruction of CIA and the activities for realization of own operations. All these activities are now become comprehensive by combining with concrete targets of attack towards Iran and Syria in direction of Greater Middle Eastern Project.

There is no doubt that the frequency and movement of these visits have aimed at the deepening and increasing of Turkey's dependency under the name of "strategic partnership" to the USA imperialism rather than responding the demand on " PKK 's liquidation" of the colonial fascist dictatorship that is squeezed in the face of the "process of founding a state" in Southern Kurdistan and the uprising in Northern Kurdistan. By the purpose of hiding or letting to be forgotten the process of defeat that it has entered into after the elections in Iraq, the USA, however, wants to take on its side the Turkey, a regional state, together with Barzani-Talabani in S. Kurdistan in order to continue in other ways with its occupation and military presence in Iraq, to make pressure or to attack Iran and Syria if that would not be not enough. The USA imperialism thinks that Iran and Syria "support the terror" in Iraq and represent a great danger for Israel.

Recently Bush stated with a great impudence that they did not get the expected oil income from Iraq. After that, in his speech to the American people, he confessed that he knows "some decisions caused terrifying losses85This war is questionable". But he said that they will win and added "An early pullout from Iraq will left our Iraqi friends alone, we would give the message that USA is not following its promises, the regional dictators will laugh at us, we would left Iraq to our enemies who promised to attack us, and the global terrorist movement would be more dangerous as never seen before by taking courage". The reason of pointing out the "danger" is because the pullout, at the same time, would mean the defeat of the USA and other imperialists and the victory of the world peoples, the resisters and anti-imperialist forces.

The topics and negotiations that were discussed in the meetings have been kept secret. But the "known topics" were rather apprehensible.

The USA ambassador Wilson has summarised the negotiations and talks in following words: "We think the same on the subject of Iran and Syria. But we have differences on what needs to be done". These mentioned differences: The USA's preparation of a bombing against Syria and especially Iran; but Turkey's consideration of a need on diplomatic pressure rather than an armed attack for now. Such that the Turkish Minister of Foreign affairs stated as the necessity of "strategic partnership" that the strong statements of M. Ahmedinecad, the President of Iran, on Israel have caused "destabilisation and crisis of trust". By saying "We do not have a magic stick in our hands against PKK. The financial resources of the PKK are in Europe", the USA ambassador explains that they do not consider as appropriate to attack on PKK in the existing conditions by adding that Iran does not consider PKK as a terrorist organisation. It is because the USA do not wants to open a new front while flapping desperately in the Iraqi quagmire. It knows that it would fail in the case of a military attack to the PKK. They also do not want to disturbed their relations with the Kurdish forces in S. Kurdistan. Moreover, it is a known fact that the existence of the Kurdish question makes Turkey easily to bow its head to the USA impositions. B. Ecevit, one of the former Prime Ministers, stated that he still did not understand why CIA, MOSSAD and other intelligence organisations have handed over A. Ocalan to the Turkish bourgeoisie state.

In its GMEP politics, the USA wants to take on its side the Turkey in case of a surrounding and attack on Iran and Syria, to prepare it for a possible bombing attack. And Turkey is in a stressful and panic situation in the face of the tendency for an "independent united Kurdistan" in Middle East. It is, on one hand, on the side of continuing with its alliance and closeness with Syria and Iran against the Kurdish national movement because of Kurdistan parts in those countries; on the other hand, it sees that it can only delay the foundation of "a united Kurdish state" by not taking side against the USA but in collaboration with them and S. Kurdistan. Under the conditions of new relations of power, alliances and wills in the Middle East, Iraq and Turkey, the colonialist fascist dictatorship experiences the political problems and pains of forming or crystallizing its new Kurdish policy.
