On 11 December, the International Bureau of our party has organised a panel with the subject "The Middle East, Islamic Movement and Kurds" that participated by representatives from MLCP and Iranian Fedain (Minority) Organisation in the Zurich city of Switzerland.

In the first part of the panel, which was started with a minute of silence for the revolutionary martyrs, at first the representative of Fedain (Minority) Organisation have spoken to the participants. The representative of Fedain (Minority), who saluted the public on behalf of Iranian revolutionaries, touched on the role played by Islamic movement in Iran and the Middle East and continued with explaining that, before 1979, the Iranian revolutionary movement acted in common with Islamists in order to overthrow the Shah, but the Islamists, who came to power under the leadership of Humeyni after the overthrow of Shah in 1979, have began to target communists and revolutionaries as a first job. The representative, who explained that, since that date, the revolutionaries in Iran constantly have suffered from torture, execution and massacres, added that especially the women are killed by being whipped. The panellist stated that the crises of the imperialist-capitalist system feed the Islamic movement, the crises of capitalism are yet being renewed every five-years and sometimes it happens before five-years, the bills of these crises are being paid by the labourers and the gap on the absence of influence of revolutionaries and communists are being filled by Islamic movement.

The MLCP representative, who spoke as the second speaker in the panel, has pointed out that the Iraqi resistance brings forward new relations, balances and wills of power in the region; therefore the developments in the region must be analysed in a entirety with many sides, connections and wills. The MLCP representative has included following views in his speech: "The Iraqi resistance has disrupted the strategic policies and projects of the USA imperialism. It proved that the USA imperialism is not the only and absolute power and will in the world; a will and an invincible power of peoples can also be developed. There is a de facto state is being created in S. Kurdistan on the basis of collaboration with the USA. The Kurds living in other parts of Kurdistan perceived the development with its 'enticing sides' by turning their faces to that post."

The MLCP representative, who also touched on the recent visits of FBI and CIA directors to Turkey, explained the reactionary and colonialist characteristics of imperialist capitalism and the attitudes and illusions of some political currencies that cannot see the level of militarism and aggression as an instrument of imperialist hegemony.

While emphasising "the 'Green Line' strategy -which was created against the 'danger of communism' during 'Cold War' period after the 2nd World War- is currently tried to be transformed into 'Moderate Islam' strategy", the MLCP representative said the Islamic movement that do not oppose the private property, tied with imperialist capitalist system and ideologically has reactionary essence is also an enemy against the communist and revolutionary movement. He underlined that, in spite of all these, some Islamic currencies objectively and conjecturally play progressive and limited anti-imperialist role.

He ended his words by saying that we, as MLCP, are face to face with great duties in the fight for organising the united revolution in Turkey and N. Kurdistan, but at the same time our party's programme is open to the unification tendency and will among the four parts of Kurdistan, and the "1st Kurdistan Conference" which was held in the near past is an important historical and political step taken on that point.
