The film called "Valley of the Wolves-Iraq" started to be shown last month in many cinemas of Turkey and the world. The story of this cheap action film, which caused a lot of discussion, concentrates on taking the revenge of the Turkish intelligence soldiers whose heads were covered with hoods on 4 July 2003 in Southern Kurdistan. The Turkish state, who in reality can't challenge with the USA, took revenge through imaginary tools by making a film which is full with the logic of "we will save ourselves by shouting its film even if we are defeated" that they learned from the USA. We can explain mainly with two reasons why the film has became so popular and watched by about 4 million people in Turkey and the world.

Firstly, creation of a chauvinist-nationalist corrupted and degenerated people's base through media. When we analyse the film in this point of view, we can consider it as an attempt of the Turkish State, which is the servant and depended of America, to save its "honour" -if it ever had one- that it has lost during the hood event, to extinguish and manipulate the anti-American feelings of the Turkish people. Thus the anti-imperialist, anti-American sentiments are being imprisoned to cinema halls by taking them away from the streets. Also the movie called Valley of the Wolves -which has been shown on Turkish TV channels for a long time and remains in the centre of the Valley of the Wolves-Iraq- aims at acquitting the members of counter-guerrilla such as Mehmet Agar, Abdullah Catli, Mehmet Ali Agca, Ali Kaya and etc., and emphasising that MIT (National Intelligence Organisation of Turkey), JITEM (Gendarmerie Intelligence and Anti-Terror Branch) and counter-guerrilla are in fact working in the love of "motherland-nation".

It is also done by same purpose when the film deals with the daily political developments and its manipulative comments on these topics. The occupant Sam Marshal, the commander of America's special forces, brings children to the hotel which is full of bombs, and stops the "glorious Turkish Rambo" Polat to explode the bombs by using those children. "We are Turks, we will not kill children" says Polat and acquits the Turkish colonialism who killed with 13 bullets the 13 years old Kurdish Ugur Kaymaz. Torture in Abu Ghraib is shown very close to the reality. But they are giving the impression of that only USA uses the torture. By that, the torture and massacres carried out by the Turkish State in F-type and military prisons are being acquitted. They are showing the village raid of the American soldiers in pictures, but they are trying to let the burned and destroyed villages in Northern Kurdistan to be forgotten. They are proposing patience by not adopting the legitimate methods of the Iraqi resistance. And the people's anger over the system, imperialism and occupation is being discharged by the closure of cinema curtains.

And the second is the anti-American wave created upon the world by American imperialism through wars, occupations and economic sanctions. In Syria, which is under the USA's war threat, people are waiting with impatience to see this film in which the USA is "exposed and defeated". Also in Latin America, where the anti-imperialism and anti-Americanism flows like a wave, especially the young people want to watch the film that is being advertised with the "Turkish Rambo brought Americans to their knees" headline on the newspapers. We can witness to the same situation in the comments of some European organisations, considering the film as anti-imperialist and anti-American.

The fascist dictatorship, however, cannot hide its torturer, killer and imperialist servant characteristics through these kinds of films. MLCP is growing its struggle to overthrow this state, which is caught red-handed in Susurluk and Semdinli , with the united will-power of the working class and labourers.
