At 9th November, we commemorated the English comrade William Bill Bland at an event in Berlin. Comrade Bland is a shining example for the internationalism of the proletariat, he lived and fought in the Soviet Union, in New Zealand and in England and he had tight relations with socialist Albania. Where ever he was, he always stood up for the principled defense of marxism-leninism and consequently fouht all kinds of revisionism. After the 20th Party Congress of the CP of the SU, he was one of the most merciless critics of revisionism. Within the context of struggle against revisionism, his numerous articles and his book "The Restoration of Capitalism in the Soviet Union" are of great importance.

The participants of the memorial event not only commemorated Bill Bland but all the comrades and comrades-in-arms who died for the revolution. The location was decorated with pictures of martyrs from Palestine, Germany, Turkey and Latin America, banners with slogans like 84Long live the internationalism of the proletariat" and "the revolutionary martyrs are immortal" as well as messages of greetings from other countries underlined the international charakter of commemoration. In addition to music and film performances, the programm included speeches and discussion with the participants. There was a contribution about comrade Bill Bland and a speech about the international tasks of the communists. The international duties of the communists, consisting today above all in overcoming the ideological and organizational fragmentation of the communist movement have been accentuated particularly. The speakers made a call to struggle for the international unity of the communists against war, misery, oppression and exploitation.
