For their second summer camp, the youth from SGD (Socialist Youth Association) have chosen the verse symbolizing a better future by the poet Nazim Hikmet: "We'll drive our motor boats to the blues". After an intensive preparatory work such as putting up posters, opening stands, public speeches and distribution of camp brochure, 250 young people from various regions of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan came together through an opening event, including a theatre show, live music and speeches, at the seaside in Balikesir / Erdek on the 20th of August.

There were different joyful seminars organised by the young people themselves where they have shared their experiences with each others during and at the final of the camp. The subject of the second day was "We are coming from France, Chile and Greece and want the future". A representative of "National French Students Union", coming from France was one of the speakers of the seminar. In this seminar, people at first discussed on the struggles against the CPE and in immigrant ghettos which shocked France. In the second part of the discussion, the youth movement of Turkey was in the centre of discussions. Two prominent members of SGD made the evaluation of last five years; in their evaluation, they especially concentrated on the international struggle and the problems concerning the youth in Northern Kurdistan. Some of the subjects of later seminars were as follows: "Love and Freedom, "Travel" to different continents, in which the international delegates from India, Palestine and France have explained the youth struggle in their own countries.

Beside seminars, there were many film shows also; a documentation on Che Guevara and the "Dina K'ak'i" prepared by BEKSAV Film Workshop. In the latter film, a Laz singer called Kazim Koyuncu, who lost his life due to cancer because of Chernobyl incident, was introduced. There were many workshops: dance, theatre, painting, cinema, trumpet, poem and of course sport activities; firstly football, basketball and volleyball tournaments. Conversations and discussions with writers, poets and film directors were also among the camp activities.

At the last day of the camp -27 August- there were organised football, volleyball and basketball tournaments during the day and a "goodbye" activity in the evening. At the "goodbye" activity, the workshops presented their products that they have done throughout camp. They played theatres and gave poem concert. The international delegates have also strengthened the activity with their poems and songs.

After a week full of discussions and comradely sharing, the camp ended with the spirit of conquering the future.
