The fascist Turkish State's imprisonment attack on our party and socialist press on 8-12 September have turned into a nightmare for them right on the same day when they made their announcement accompanied by yells that they have "ruined" our party. The statement on 13 September of our party, which they claimed that they have ruined it, saying "as the previous attacks, this attack also will not be able to prevent our party's direction and march" and the slogans and victory signs of the detained communists when they were going to court have disturbed the joy of the enemy. For the party, which they claimed to be ruined, was continuing with its battle on its feet.

The ones who were under custody shouted slogans on their way to the court: "Long live socialism", "socialism will liberate the world", "conspiracies did not work and will not work", "time will come for the killers" and "party, surge, victory". About 200 people, including ESP activists, readers and officials of Atilim newspaper, unionists and representatives of democratic mass organisations, welcomed the prisoners who were brought to Besiktas Heavy Penal Court in Istanbul, with the slogan: "You are not strong enough to defeat us". They continued with their action in Besiktas Park during the whole time of trial and organised a press meeting at 12:00am.

Despite the imprisonment of 23 revolutionaries who were taken into custody under the name of "MLCP Operation", communists have responded the enemy's attack by increasing their actions. From four corners of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan and in many foreign countries, communists have organised widespread actions, challenging fascism under the slogan: "You are not strong enough to defeat us".

Nevertheless, the state attack on the weekly socialist Atilim newspaper -which carried the news about the attacks and imprisonments into its pages and which its' chief editor, chief coordinator, columnists and officials were among the imprisoned people- has continued and its publication has been banned for 2 weeks. But the Atilim newspaper has become a flag in the hands of its readers in the actions organised all parts of our geography. The Atilim newspaper has continued to challenge against the enemy through its headline: "The hope is still on its feet".

And on 13 September, the offices of Ozgur Halk and Genc Bakis magazines suffered from TMY attack and 7 people were taken into custody. These people are imprisoned on the 16th of September. All books, magazines, documents, accountancy materials, the list of subscribers and computers have been seized by the police.

The colonialist fascist dictatorship, which could not endure the "march under fire" that went parallel with the celebrations for the 12th anniversary of MLCP, once more begun on 21 September to attack many democratic institutions, offices of socialist newspapers and magazines, offices of ESP, neighbourhood associations, trade unions, radios, democratic mass organisations and houses. The fascist dictatorship went for human hunting in the organisations, houses and on the streets. It kidnapped some of them and tortured the others. More than 120 revolutionaries were taken into custody; dozens of them have been imprisoned. Computers, books, documents, archives, private notes were plundered with a totally fascist mentality. Thus, they are trying to prevent communists and socialists from explaining the political realities to the working class and labourer people, and from mobilising them for the struggle.

It seems like the class enemy has forgotten that the communists who are determined to overthrow the sultanate of bandits will not abandon, on the contrary they will leap forward in the face of these attacks. The organisations those which have been attacked, more than 120 activists, officials of them were detained or imprisoned are still continuing on their feet to the struggle. The repression and imprisonments are being protested and the raided institutions are defended through daily actions in many places with also the participation and support of the other revolutionary forces, comrades-in-arm. The detention and imprisonment terror is protested through demonstrations and press meetings in Turkey, Northern Kurdistan and oversees.

And MLCP responds to the attacks by organising illegal demonstrations, putting up banners, wall-writings and bombing the fascist centres.

Beside the masses of institutions that suffered from the attacks in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, tens of other revolutionary and progressive organisations, parties, representatives and officials of newspapers such as Human Rights Association, Pir Sultan Abdal Association, Solidarity Platform with the Imprisoned Journalists, ILPS, Partizan, Isci Koylu Newspaper, Alinteri, Sine-Sen Union, Solidarity Association with the Palestinian People, DTP , SDP , DHP, BATIS, HOC , B DSP , Isci Mucadelesi, Devrimci Proleter Genclik, Yapi Sanatevi, EHP , Kaldirac, TUYAB, HKM, SODAP , TOP, TUAD , PSAKD, Devrimci Hareket, Halkin Kurtulus Partisi, Ozgur Gundem Newspaper, ODAK, EMEP and Halkevleri have also participated in the actions in different places and showed the good examples of revolutionary solidarity.

The writer Haluk Gerger, one of the intellectuals who gave positive response to the call made by the Atilim Newspaper, has shown his support by working in the Atilim Newspaper for one day. So many other intellectuals, including the Turkey representative of International PEN and journalist-writer, Ragip Zarakolu, journalist Oral Calislar, Turkey Correspondent of Journalists Without Borders, Erol Onderoglu, journalist Celal Baslangic, General President of Journalists' Union of Turkey, Erol Ipekci, Chief Editor of Evrensel Newspaper, Fatih Polat, have also announced that they are in solidarity with the Atilim Newspaper.

On 25 September, the ones, who detained in Istanbul as a result of the raids since the 21st of September, were taken to the Besiktas Heavy Penal Court that was replaced with the former DGMs (State Security Court). The following people among the detainees have been sent to prison: ESP Istanbul representative Figen Yuksekdag, News Coordinator of Ozgur Radio Halil Dinc, Ozgur Radio official Sinan Gercek, General President of Limter-Is Union Cem Dinc, General Secretary of Limter-Is Union Zafer Tektas, General President of Tekstil-Sen Union Ayse Yumli Yeter, Chairwoman of Istanbul Labourer Women's Association Cicek Otlu, Emin Orhan, Yusuf Demir, Ozcan Dilekli, Gunes Senyuz, Selver Orman and Atilim Newspaper official Ozge Kelekci.

In this way, the number of imprisoned people during the state attack all over Turkey and Northern Kurdistan against ESP (Socialist Platform of the Oppressed), Atilim Newspaper, Ozgur Radio, Limter-Is Union, Tekstil-Sen Union, EKD (Labourer Women's Association) and the other institutions and revolutionaries, reached 70. By the imprisonments, the fascist dictatorship has shown that it will increase its attack on the organised sections of the society through new TMY (Anti-terror Law).

The recent attacks of the fascist dictatorship, of which completely similar to the attacks in the periods of coup d'etat and martial law, are directed not only to destroy revolutionary organisations and Kurdish National Movement, but also the struggle of the working class and labourer masses. As it is once more seen in the massacre of 10 people, 7 of them were children, in Diyarbakir on 12 September, the Turkish state -which had also killed previously the 17 cadres of MKP (Maoist Communist Party) in our geography-, accelerated its attacks targeting children and civilians in Kurdistan.

And it is now came to the light that the preparations of the recent attacks on our party were started following the actions against the 2004 NATO Summit, there created a special team within the state for the attack and was organised in collaboration with CIA, MOSSAD and MIT . MLCP, which acts in the consciousness that it is possible to repulse the counter-revolution's common attacks by united struggle, has of course expected and received the reflexes of revolutionary solidarity that it has been showing for other revolutionary friends when they are attacked. There are examples which attract attentions and therefore some lessons should be taken from in relation to the reflexes shown against the attacks both in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan and on the international level. For instance, the countries which have shown the first reflexes were the countries where the parties and organisations are continuing with their struggle in the cost of heavy losses, where their people are imprisoned or martyred and where they also experience police attacks and imprisonments. On the contrary, the parties and organisations that have not been subjected to serious police attacks and which struggle within the borders drawn by the bourgeoisie, have either shown very weak reflexes or not at all.

It is necessary to increase international solidarity in order to stop the imprisonment attacks, fascist massacres and to free political prisoners in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. Being at present as delegations in the fascist courts where the prisoners will be tried and denouncement of the fascist face of the Turkish state through campaigns and protest actions are the some of the solidarity actions that can be organised.

Long Live International Solidarity!
