The Turkish state's massacre on 19 December 2000 in the prisons of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan has been protested with many actions on its 3rd year. The massacre was protested in actions that organised by many democratic institutions such as ESP (Socialist Platform of the Oppressed), EKB (Unity of Toiling Women), TUYAB (League of the Relatives of Prisoners), TAYAD (Association of Support and Solidarity of the Relatives of the Prisoners) and IHD (Human Rights Association).

MLCP has also protested the massacre through different forms of action such as distributing leaflets, writing on the walls, putting stickers and banners up, illegal demonstrations, using Molotov cocktails and bombings, and declared that it will continue to ask account from the murderer state.

Here are some of the actions organised by MLCP:

-On 20-22 December, banners were putted up at 9 places: on the Tuzla-Sisecam bridge on E-

5 motorway on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, on the Cesme Duragi bridge on E-5 motorway,

on the Seans Duragi bridge on E-5 motorway in the neighbourhood of the Sefakoy point, on

the entrance of Kadikoy Tax Office, on the Guzeltepe/Nurtepe bridge and in the districts of

Topkapi, Cevizlibag and Ambarli.

- 19 December resistance of the political prisoners was saluted with setting fire in two separate

high places (Gebze and Tuzla) of the Umraniye-1 Mayis Neighbourhood, which is populated

with toilers.

- A demonstration was organised in Halk Ekmek MeydanA6 in the district of Alibeykoy Saya

Yokusu, the traffic was blocked with Molotov cocktails and a banner was put up.

- On the night of 20 December, the Turk Ocaklari (Club of Civil Fascists) building in

Antep/Kirkayak was bombed by the Militias of MLCP-Kurdistan Organisation.

- Widespread stickers were putted on to the walls in Duztepe, KA6brA6s, YukarA6bayA6r and Kayaonu

neighbourhoods of Antep province, in the telephone boxes of the city centre and the university.

- Istanbul Bayrampasa Prison has been bombed on two different points.

- On the night of 21st December, a Molotov cocktail was thrown to the AKP (Justice and

Development Party) Contact Bureau in Maltepe/Istanbul.

- On the night of 21st December, a demonstration was organised with torches in

Esenyurt/Istanbul.

- On 22 December, flyers were thrown in the bus station of Kadikoy Iskele square.

- On 23 December, a demonstration was organised in Ikitelli and traffic was blocked with

Molotov cocktails.

- On 23 December, a banner was putted on to the railway bridge near to Adana administration

building.

- On 25 December, Molotov cocktail were thrown to the election office of the AKP in Adana-

Yuregir, and on the same day posters writes "We will ask account of the 19 December

massacre -MLCP" were putted on to the walls of the neighbourhoods of Sumerler, Ziyapasa,

Yesilyurt and Yurt.

- As a response to the increasing civil fascist attacks, Istanbul Turk Ocaklari (Club of civil

fascists) was bombed.

- The distribution of leaflets signed by the CC of MLCP to the workers in the textile factories, in

neighbourhoods where mostly toiling people live and making speeches to the workers.

- The youth organisation of MLCP has also organised action in December in

order to both announce its 3rd Congress and to protest prison massacre.

In the statements of the MLCP militias, those who organised the actions that we mentioned above, it has been said: "we will continue to call on toilers to struggle against massacres with our leaflets, posters, Molotov cocktails that are lightening the toiling neighbourhoods and the bombs blasted against the forces of the fascist state. We will win."
