The Kurds are one of the nations that is settled and stateless in the Middle East. The Kurdish population is over 30 million, but they are living scattered and torn in the borders of different countries under the yoke of colonial statue. The country of Kurdistan is being divided into four parts as her geographic structure, national will and culture. Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria are the countries those who are keeping Kurds under national yoke and oppression. These states, which are the region's colonialist or reactionary states, have torn Kurdistan apart and realized her colonization in time through support of imperialism.

Politically and Economically, Kurdistan is being annexed and kept under military occupation.

The history has witnessed to numerous uprisings, resistances and wars of the Kurds since the 18th Century against the occupant interventions and settlements, colonial methods and policies.

But, because of being torn into four parts, Kurdistan's strategic position and rich oil resources and because of the collaborationist policies of the traditional nationalist political structures which were leading the national movement, the Kurds (except Mahabad Kurdish State that lasted few months) were not able to establish an independent national state that is a product of national wakening, consciousness and action.

The uprisings and resistances of the past, the political Kurdish establishment in South Kurdistan as the result of the 1st Golf War in 1991 and those conditions, the heroic guerrilla war and uprisings that led by PKK in North Kurdistan throughout 15 years, and lastly the process of USA's occupation of Iraq have carried the Kurdish national question, the national and democratic demands of the Kurds into the World's agenda.

As it happened yesterday, the oppressed Kurdish people are, today also, wanted to be pulled into dirty and dark games of the imperialist, fascist and Zionist power-centers in Middle East.

Under the conditions of occupation of Iraq, the traditional, statu quo politics of the USA and the UK, while they are trying to abolish the "red lines", and the changing balances and relations of power, all these force the Kurdish people to direct itself towards concrete solutions according to their national interests and demands. Likewise, the national political creation and establishment under the leadership of the KDP and KYB in South Kurdistan is a reality due to the USA's hegemony after the 1991 Golf War and now the occupation of Iraq. The draft constitution that approved by the Central Council in Iraq (acceptance of Kurdish as the second official language, Kurdish parliamentary, armed forces etc.) has been celebrated by all Kurds in great joy and excitement. Ten thousands of Kurds took to the streets in Iran and Kurds in Syria-Quamislo upraised. 2004 Newroz witnessed to celebrations in masses and excitement in four parts of Kurdistan.

By leaving aside all their contradictions, the region's colonialist and reactionary administrations (Turkey, Syria and Iran) were not late in creation of anti-Kurd front against developing tendency on united independent Kurdistan in four parts of the country.

But, the political establishment in South Kurdistan, which become attractive for the Kurds, is being realized under the guardianship of the USA. In the region, the traditional Kurdish nationalist policies of the KDP and KYB are becoming possible through getting out of being an extension of the policies of Turkey, Iran and Syria, but by dirty collaboration such as taking refuge under the USA imperialism's military and political umbrella.

Therefore, this political line is very dangerous. It is always open to betrayal to the Kurdish national question and to support imperialist solutions. It is the one of the important basis for the occupant existence of the American imperialism in the region.

Today, as this line plays a role of internally scattering the national democratic unity of the Kurds, it also sabotaging the united struggle that could be developed against the USA occupation. Therefore, in the future, because of the imperialist provocations and directions, Iraq may face further national, ethnic and religious conflicts and strangles.

The reformist KONGRA-GEL line in the Northern Kurdistan is not able to come out of being squeezed in the political and military circles of USA and colonialist states in the region. Also, the great power and energy of peoples that flown to the streets in Newroz is becoming flaccid and ineffective in time because of the reformist and conciliatory policies. Threating of PKK leader A. Ocalan under isolation, forcing guerrilla to surrender or to be destroyed, putting Kurdish legal organizations and their representatives into the target of the state terror, Osman Ocalan and his friends to be driven to liquidation in the KONGRA-GEL have brought Kurdish national movement face to face with serious dangers in Northern Kurdistan. The liqudationist initiative (later it was stopped because of the call of Abdullah Ocalan) of Osman Ocalan and his friends is an unstoppable and logical result of the Imrali line of Abdullah Ocalan.

In 2002, the MLCP has defined this political line as follows: "The Imrali line of Abdullah Ocalan is the line of ideological surrender, politically breaking of the will, defeat and liquidation".(3rd Congress of MLCP, Political Report). This reformist line has tried to clear itself from the socialist symbols, words and slogans. It has criticized the norms, rules and discipline of Leninist party, and head to an organization that is shapeless, flexible and based on the unity of "different wills". KADEK and KONGRA-GEL were the products of this understanding. At this moment, the scattering or differentiation of wills, regardless of essence, in the KONGRA-GEL did not surprised us.

When PKK and the Kurdish national movement is distancing from the thought and concept of socialism, laboring peasantry and the actions of the poor people, her reformist line is being winnowed much backwards under the conditions of political and military surroundings and squeezing.

So, naturally, there is only one way that could break this squeezing and stop or delay development of liquidation. And that can be done through a consistent political stance against the imperialism, a committed struggle against colonialism and succeeding in open exposition of the collaborationist understandings. But unfortunately, as the leadership of KONGRA-GEL do, qualifying the USA's intervention in the Middle East and Iraq as being "democratic colonialism" does not makes such breakthrough possible. Only the revolutionary solution can give an answer to this.

In her program, MLCP formulates the solution of the Kurdish question as follows: "The fascist dictatorship of the collaborationist monopoly bourgeoisie and the big landowners will be destroyed through revolution by force and, instead, Unity of Workers-Toilers Soviet Republics, where the right of separation is protected, will be established." (Documents of the 3rd Congress)

Under the conditions of political and military surroundings and squeezing, MLCP's Kurdistan Organization is considering the pecularities of the colonized Kurdistan every passing day more in her works: MLCP is aware of her historical and political responsibilities through her publications, arguments, slogans, calls and organizational development.
