Ibrahim Levent, one of the 7 workers who had been injured through a gas explosion at the docks of Dearsan on August, 24, died on August 26 in the hospital. He was 51 years old and had been working for 16 years at the docks.
The union Limter-Is made a written statement concerning this: the employer of the dockyards and of GISBIR (Association of the employers of the dockyards) have to be sentenced for having caused deliberately the death of workers" and called upon the public opinion to support the struggle against the infringements and labor assassinations at the dockyards of Tuzla.
On August, 30, Limter-Is made a press declaration in front of the docks of Dearsan together with Ibrahim Levent's family. In this action where Cem Dinc, the General President of Limter-Is said "We want the responsables judged", the slogan "Murderers will pay account to the workers!" was shouted.
