The fact that the anti-imperialist struggle and the actions on September 5, could not avoid the plan to send troops to Lebanon to be approved by the parliament, was not able to stop the resistance against the imperialist and Zionist occupation. On September 6, again 500 anti-imperialists took to the streets in Ankara following the call of SDP (Party of Socialist Democracy), the journal "Partizan" and the Coordination against the occupation in Iraq, to which are also affiliated the ESP and HOC .
The anti-imperialists met at Ankara Kolej Kafsagi in order to protest against the visit of Secretary-general of the UNO, Kofi Annan who came to Ankara for a meeting with Prime Minister Erdogan and against the adoption of the plan to send troops to Lebanon and started their action with the slogan: "We won't be the soldiers of Israel!, Kofi Annan, go home!". But they were confronted with police barricades. When the demonstrators show their determinacy to continue their action, they were attacked by the police with tear gas after having waited for one hour in front of the police barricade. The demonstrators, who did not make even one step back in spite of the attack of the police, continued their actions and resisted with stones against tanks and tear gas. The police chasing the anti-imperialists in the streets of Ankara creating terror for the population in the streets and detained many people.
