On September 5, the Turkish army opened fire on a car on the way to Batman saying that "there were terrorists in the car". Three persons were killed in the attack, among them the eight-years-old girl Mizgin Ozbek. Her mother Samiye Ozbek, 56 years old has been wounded. Hadi Ozbek, the driver of the car, has been detained by the soldiers. The family was on its way to the State hospital of Batman due to an illness of the mother, when the soldiers attacked them in Kozluk and shot at the car not even considering if there are children or elderly people in it.
