The colonialist fascist dictatorship carried out another of its murderous attacks that have been conducted in the exes of its traditional denial and annihilation policy towards Kurdish people. 10 people killed and 13 people seriously wounded as a result of an explosion done by the counter-guerrilla in the evening of 12 September at a bus-stop in Kosuyolu Park in Diyarbakir (Amed) Baglar district. 8 of the people who were killed are children under 12, including 2 babies; one is 6 and the other one 9 months of age. Recently, a group consists of ex JITEM members and informers who acted in Kurdistan during the dirty war period and now had no more relations with the army, was sent to Amed and received military training under the commands of a Brigadier General. The appointment of the fascist General Buyukanit -who came to the fore during the period of condensed attacks from flag provocation in Mersin and to the counter-guerrilla action that was brought to the open by the people of Semdinli - to the position of Chief of General Staff represented a step that would cause increasing use of counter-guerrilla action and dirty war methods. On the other hand, the people of Amed began organising actions following the massacre. While state trying to put the blame on to the Kurdish national organisations giving armed struggle, the people of Amed denounced that the massacre was the counter-guerrillas work. For days, the city of Amed is shaken with demonstrations and rallies participated by thousands. The Kosuyolu Park, where the massacre was carried out, witnesses the flow of visitors, leaving flowers for the ones who lost their lives. Whilst the shop-keepers closedown their shelters, the councillors from DTP (Democratic Society Party) protest the massacre by hanging black-white flags on their official buildings. The colonialist fascist state forces have surrounded all streets and roads of the city with panzers, special teams and police. The public prosecutor has given them "unlimited permission to make search". On the 14th of September, the police and special teams have attacked people with tear-gas those who organised actions at the point where the massacre was carried out. The people resisted to the police by setting barricades and with stones and sticks.
