By organising a press conference in IHD 's (Human Rights Association) Istanbul Branch on 16 September, the Atilim Newspaper workers have protested the imprisonment of their editors and writers, and the banning of the newspaper because of writing about the state-terror which has been carried out against revolutionary and socialist people.
Evrensel Newspaper, ESP , Gundem Newspaper, DTP , Devrimci Demokrasi, EHD, Tekstil-Sen Union, TGDP , SGD F, EDK, Dayanisma Newspaper, Isci Koylu Gazetesi and Yeni Demokrat Genclik supported the press conference, where it was said that the newspaper is being banned for 15 days because of its 124th issue published under the heading of "The Hope is still on its Feet".
In Izmir, the Alinteri, B DSP , DHP, DTP, ESP, HOC , SDP , Partizan Dergisi and different revolutionary and democrat circles have also condemned the imprisonment of 23 revolutionaries by organising a press conference on the same day. "All conspiracies are in vain", "Long live revolutionary solidarity", "Long live peoples' brotherhood" slogans were shouted in the press conference where it was said "we, as the revolutionaries are going to resist all of us together."
