On 2 October, the Solidarity Association with the Palestinian People, have organised a press meeting in front of the Taksim PTT in the occasion of the anniversary of 2nd Intifada. In the press meeting they opened banner writing "Give your hand of brotherhood to Palestine". After the press meeting, they opened an exhibition called "A day in Palestine", with the participation of French photographer Emilie Petit.
In the statement, it was said "Since the beginning of the 2nd Intifada, tens of Palestinian are killed, left without house, sent to exile; their lands were seized and suffered from physical violence. The ones who are throwing stones to tanks, who put their bodies as a barricade to the bulldozers, who embrace the uprooted hundreds-years-old olive trees, who studies before the barricades because of not being allowed to go to school, know that they have no other chance than to resist." In the statement, they have also given information on the "You have a brother/sister in Palestine" campaign, and emphasised the need for concretising the solidarity with the Palestinian people.
