Universities Opened with Investigations: Students are in Action

 The universities in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan have been opened with the investigations, suspensions and attacks by the police and private security guards on the students.
In Istanbul University, the students who were putting up posters demanding free education and against the imperialist war are attacked by the private security guards and their posters are torn down.
During the official opening ceremony of the university on 3 October, the 8 students, who suspended from the university as result of the investigations, from Students' Collective, ODP , and Ekim Youth have chained themselves to the gates at the entrance of the university and demanded the resignation of Rector Mesut Parlak. The students were taken into custody after the break of the chains by the police.
During the summer time, 12 students were suspended and more than 40 of them were sacked from the university for a period of time after the investigations against them in Istanbul University.
 On 2-5 October, the Yildiz Technical University students have also organised a vigil in front of the university campus, in order to protest the investigations and suspensions. The students, who stated that they have been investigated and suspended from the university because of saying no to paid education, "Anti-terror Law", "General Health Insurance" and imperialist war, continued with their vigil for four days by holding placards writing: "I was sacked from the university because I am against the imperialist war", "I was sacked from the university because I am opposing the Anti-terror Law" and "Our right to education cannot be prevented".
And in the Izmir Nine September University, the rector waged an attack against the stands of the students where they have been announcing their activities for many years. On 4 October, 50 private security guards have attacked to the stand-tables and posters. But they were forced to withdraw without taking the tables and posters as a result of the students' determined resistance.
