Labourer Women's Association ( EKD ) of Ankara held a demonstration at Kizilay/Ankara on 21 October to express their solidarity with the female prisoners who had been exposed to sexual violence and abuse while they were being transferred from Ulucanlar Prison to Sincan Prison. The members of EKD demanded sexual violence and abuse to be ended, visits of relatives and lawyers of the prisoners to be permitted, and the principal needs of the prisoners to be supplied.
Women, who carried a banner with the slogan "Again violence, again the state, again the state" during the demonstration, also sent letters of solidarity to the female prisoners.
