The campaign "We want freedom" that was started by the Socialist Platform of Oppressed ( ESP ) continues in various forms such as press statements, vigils, selling the newspaper Atılım in the streets, speeches in bazaars, visits to the offices of the organizations which were raided by the police and etc. ESP called for a united resistance against the new Anti-Terror Law by organizing actions in many cities of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan on 21 October.
On 21 October, ESP organized the second action of the series of vigils which it had announced last week that it would organize every Saturday in the Galatasaray Square in Taksim/Istanbul. In the action they said: "The operations and the imprisonment of the revolutionaries are the attacks against the hope of the oppressed. We take our force from the millions". Izmir, it organized a street-action with the support of many other democratic organizations. In the statement they expressed the following: "Today we are thousands; tomorrow we will cry out for FREEDOM coming as hundreds of thousands". After the action, the newspaper Atilim was sold in the streets in the district Kemeralti. ESP protested the attacks also in Yuksel Street in Ankara and Kultur Street in Adana by vigils. The slogan "You will never defeat us!" was shouted at the street-action in Antep, which was supported by many organizations.  ESP made a march from its bureau to Ulus Square in Antakya, and held a demonstration in Malatya. ESP activists in Izmit stuck posters in the city center, while the activists in Okmeydani hang up banner with the slogan "ESP never remained silent and will never remain silent", "Freedom of speech, action and organization" etc. on many points in Okmeydani district of Istanbul.
