By organizing a street action at the Galatasaray Square in Istanbul on 30 November, the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) expressed that it supports the Oaxacan peoples' resistance which shows the way to all the peoples of the world. The ESP activists who opened a banner with the slogan "Oaxacan people are not alone!" showed their protest against the Mexican state's massacres against the Oaxacan peoples by burning a Mexican flag. They also sent a fax to Vicente Fox, Mexican President, demanding the withdrawal of the Mexican police from Oaxaca and the immediate release of the imprisoned resisters. The following slogans were shouted at the action: "Long Live our Oaxacan resistance!", "Long Live International Solidarity!", "Socialism will liberate the world!".
