The civil fascist from MHP (National Movement Party) attacked with stones and sticks at the protest march organised by the Platform against Anti-terror Law in Kocaeli on 19 December with the title "3 doors and 3 locks should be opened. Isolation should stop!". The manifestants who responded the fascists by shouting the slogan "Shoulder to shoulder against fascism!" continued their march after repulsing them. One activist of ESP and the provincial representative of SDP were wounded in the attack. After marching towards the Human Rights Square, the ESP representative in Kocaeli made a speech here and expressed the following: "this attack is a complot of the fascist state and police who had also attacked and massacred the prisoners. We are here in order to ask account from the murderers of 19 December and from the state. The responsible for today's attack are the Prefect and the Police Chief. We will ask account for this."
The massacre was also protested in Bursa, Antep, Samsun, Ankara, Canakkale, Hopa, Izmir, Adana and Malatya through different actions.
