On 7 April, the militias of our party MLCP set the building of the Party of Great Unity (BBP) in Batikent/Ankara on fire.
BBP had played an important role at the murder of the Armenian intellectual Hrant Dink through a political assassination attempt in January. After the assassination of Hrant Dink, it was understood that Ogun Samast, who had fired the gun, and his backers Yasin Hayal and Erhan Tuncel had deep relations with BBP and with its youth organization Alperen Ocaklari and that the plans of the assassination was discussed in the office of Alperen Ocaklari.
The militias of our party stated the following in their declaration concerning the action: "On 07 April 2007 at night, we set the building of BBP in Batikent on fire against the recent civil fascist attacks against revolutionary and democratic organisations and individuals. We announce once more that the official or civil fascist centres will never be able to save themselves from the violence of the oppressed and from the fireballs of our party."
