Women organisations made a press meeting on 6 April at the Istanbul Branch of the Human Rights Association ( IHD ) and they expressed that they will stand up for Cicek Otlu, president of EKD (Labouring Women's Organisation) and other EKD activists who were imprisoned in September.
Women from the Labouring Women's Organisation, Democratic Free Women's Movement, Democratic Women's Movement, "Rainbow" Women's Association, Women from EHP (Labouring People's Party), EMEP (Labour Party), SDP (Party of Socialist Democracy) and the magazine Cagri demanded the freedom of the EKD activists in prison, they expressed that they will be in front of the Court of Besiktas on 13 April and they called upon all the women organisations to show solidarity with EKD.
