Armed Forces of the Poor and Oppressed (FESK) assumed the responsibility of the bombings in Sakarya and Istanbul through its Declaration No: 66 and stated that they had carried out these actions as a response to the state terror on the Kurdish people.
FESK declared that they had bombed the 3rd floor of the Court of Sakarya on 19 April because of the fact that the Sakarya Branch of the teachers' union Egitim-Sen was set on fire a few months ago and that those responsible for this were set free by the court recently.
FESK also informed that they had bombed the Gendarmerie Station of Kurtkoy and the vehicles at the Gendarmerie Check-point in Sarigazi in Istanbul on 20 April.
FESK expressed the following in their statement: "The colonialist fascist state has waged a total attack on the oppressed and at first, on the Kurdish people. With its militarist forces and fascist gangs, fascism attacks viciously on the Kurdish people, guerrilla and organisations; on the labourers, workers, youth, revolutionaries. Its rotten courts set free the murderers of Ugur Kaymaz and the gangs who set Egitim-Sen on fire." "All the wheels of oppression spin against the oppressed. There is no way else: This blockade against the oppressed will be destroyed!"
