Comrade Hüseyin Kayaci, who fell in the death fast resistance against the f-type isolation in prisons on May 6, 2001, was commemorated in a memorial event by the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) at his grave in Menemen, Izmir.
A banner was opened on which it said "From Deniz Gezmis to Hüseyin Kayaci, hope is standing tall" and the commemoration started with a minute`s silence. Then, a speech followed in which Hüseyin Kayaci`s life was told and which ended with the comarde and comrade-in-arms` promise to keep the ideals of Kayaci and of Deniz and his friends alive in the struggle." The commemoration ended with the slogans "Hüseyin Kayaci is immortal", "The revolutionary martyrs are immortal" and "Tuncay Yildirim is immortal".
