The file of the revolutionaries and communists who had been arrested and imprisoned in September last year due to a conspiration based on the terror of the new anti-terror law has finally been opened. Different heavy sentences are demanded for the socialists, among them also journalists and radio channel workers, which reach from long-term imprisonment to life sentence: It is intended to sentence 13 people to several times lifelong and 10 people to different sentences between 10.5 and 45 years prison.
Since the file of the prisoners had been closed for "security" reasons, the prisoners did not know anything about the accusation for 8 months. However, the file has been opened for the civil police for the "creation of evidence".
Altogether thousand years of imprisonment...
The accusation of 292 pages was prepared by Ali Cengiz Hacıosmanoğlu, the public prosecutor of the Republic in Istanbul and considers 23 revolutionaries as responsible for 296 illegal actions that happened between 1994-2006. The sentences that are demanded are as following:
Ibrahim Cicek, the chief editor of atilim newspaper; Sedat Senoglu, news coordinator of Atilim newspaper; Fusun Erdogan, chief coordinator of Ozgur Radio; Ziya Ulusoy and Bayram Namaz, both columnists of Atilim newspaper; Naci Güner, Arif Celebi, Sultan Ulusoy, Adem Serkan Gündogdu, Ali Hidir Polat, Seyfi Polat, Mehmet Ali Polat and Erkan Ozdemir are foreseen to be sentenced to several times lifelong; Erkan Salduz, Turac Solak, Elif Almakca, Hatice Bolat, Fatma Siner, Hasan Ozan, Arzu Torun, Soner Cicek, Fethiye Ok and Bilgi Tagaç are wanted to be jailed between 10,5 and 45 years. The date of the trial however has not yet been fixed.
The Fascist Turkish state released the police men who killed 12-year-old Ugur Kaymaz with 13 shots and the NCOs that threw bombs on the people of Semdinli , cancelled the trials and by that rewarded the offenders, but wants to sentence the socialists by putting them behind bars for altogether thousands of years, of whom it is most afraid of, and therefore, shows once again its real face of complots.
