On July 22, the High Election Committee (YSK) published the definite election results. The Turkish parliament, which consists of 550 deputies in total, will only have 549 deputies as one deputy died immediately after the elections.
According to that, the AKP will have 341 seats, the CHP 112, the MHP 70 and the independent candidates 26 in parliament. Of the 26 independent candidates, 22 deputies are from the DTP . According to the declaration of the YSK, the turnout has been 84,25%.
On August 4, the parliament will gather and the deputies will start with their work after having sworn an oath. Within five days after this ceremony, the deputies will be able to apply for the presidency of the council. Afther the president of the council will be elected, the presidential election period will start.
