The killing of a worker from Torgem shipyard bound to Tuzla shipyard, Istanbul, on August 21 led to protests in front of the shipyard. On August 23, members of the trade union Limter-Is gathered in front of the shipyard with a banner saying "We demand human working conditions at the shipyards, we don't want to die". The workers focused on the accidents at work places happening frequently and demanded precautions to be taken. At the action, the shipyard workers were called to join Limter-Is, and shouted the slogans "Workers unite, stop the killings" and "We are workers, we are right, we are strong with Limter-Is". On August 21, worker Cabbar Ongun had lost his life because of an electric shock.
