Actions at the shipyards are continued to protest against the murders at work places because of unsafe working conditions which lead to the death of five workers within the last two weeks. Lastly, Bekir Ozmen working at temp agency affiliated to the shipyard Desan lost his life on the morning of September 3 because of an electric shock. On the morning of September 4, the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) organised an action at the train station Icmeler next to the shipyard Tuzla demanding precautions to be taken immediately against the "work accidents" and calling on the workers for organising themselves. At the action which was also supported by leaders of the trade union Limter-Is the slogans "The shipyard workers are not alone" and Down with capitalism, long live socialism" were shouted. The shipyard workers and members of the trade union Limter-Is gathered in front of Tuzla Gemi on the morning of September 5 and marched against the death at work places until the shipyard Desan holding the banner "We don't want to die anymore". The workers blockaded the street and also hold a banner saying: "They did not die during war but at the shipyard" and posters of the workers who had lost their life. Limter-Is general president Cem Dinc hold a speech in which he condemned the bosses of the shipyard ignoring the workers`right to live and demanded precautions to be taken; a doctor, infirmary and an ambulance for every shipyard and the punishment of those responsible for the deaths. At the action the workers shouted the slogans "Not accident, but murder", "We don`t want to die anymore" and "We are workers, we are right, we are strong with Limter-Is". The action was supported by representatives of the trade unions Basin-Is , Deri-Is , Tekstil-Sen , Emekli-Sen as well as the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed (ESP), EMEP and the Modern Lawyers Association. On September 6, members of the ESP organised an action at Taksim Tramvay Station holding a banner on which it said "Cabbar, Guney, Cengiz, Kenan, Bekir...stop the murders of the workers".
