The Union of the Relatives of the Detained and Imprisoned (TUYAB) organised an action on September 24 at Taksim Tram Station and opened a banner on which it said "End the inhuman treatment in the prisons!". In a statement made by the relatives of the detained, it was said that violations of rights in the f type prisons are continued increasingly and that the prisoners` right of gathering 10 hours per week that was obtained with the struggle against isolation is hindered by the prison administration's arbitrariness. The relatives also told that lately, Kirikkale f type prison had been opened and about the treatment of the prisoners when transferred from Sincan f type prison to Kirikkale f type prison. On the morning of September 15, 28 prisoners of the PKK and 42 criminal prisoners had been transferred from Sincan f type prison no. 1 and 2 to Kirikkale f type prison accompanied by the warders` attacks. When the MLCP prisoner Mesut Ceki, the ESP activist Alihan Algan and Cengiz Kahraman as well as Kenan Ozturk shouted slogans to show solidarity with the prisoners being transferred, the warders stormed their cells and attacked them brutally. In the statement the relatives also demanded to cancel the "disciplinary" punishments given arbitrarily as well as an end to the violation of the right of communication. The action was finished with the slogans "The revolutionary will can`t be broken", "No to forced transfers, freedom to the prisoners" and "The isolation must be stopped, the demands must be accepted".
