The Kurdish HPG (People`s Defense Forces) Headquarters Command made a statement on the massacre at Beytussebap, province of Sirnak, and said: "The attack was carried out by the Turkish army and its organisation JITEM ." On September 29 an armed attack was carried out on a minivan at the village Besagac of Beytussebap, Sirnak. 12 people, of whom 7 were village guards, were killed. The HPG explained that they have nothing to do with this attack and that this kind of attacks have the aim to intimidate the Kurdish people and revive its policy of village guarding. It called on the democratic publicity to search for the murderers.
