The Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) organised a march in the Istanbul quarter Gazi on November 18 due to the month of November, the month of the martyrs. At the march which was participated by 250 ESP activists the banner read "We have neither forgotten their names nor their memories" was opened and comrade Hasan Ocak`s poster was carried.
The ESP activists gathered in front of Gazi Cemevi and marched to Gazi cemetery by shouting the slogans "The day will come when time changes and the murderers will render an account to the party", "The revolutionary martyrs are immortal" and "We promised the martyrs the revolution". The mass first commemorated the martyrs of Kilis at their graves and continued with the commemoration at Hasan Ocak`s grave. The ESP activists declared in their speeches to make the dreams of the martyrs become true and achieve victory as well as promised to develop the struggle.
The cousin and mother of Muslum Akyol, one of the martyrs of Kilis, the sister of Hasan Ocak and the wife of Suleyman Yeter also hold a speech at the commemoration. In the speeches hold, the following was said: "The brave martyrs under the earth ask us: Have you made a step forwards in these days during which fascist aggression and racism have increased?" The activists promised that the flag of socialism will never fall to the ground.
