A team of the anti-terror unit of Ankara raided a house in the quarter Kurtulus with armed force and killed the DHKP-C militant Kevser Mizrak on December 10. Two policemen were injured in the clash that occurred. While Kevser Mizrak`s body was handed over to her family on December 11, members of
TAYAD who wanted to join the funeral service at the cemetery at Polatli were hindered. The TAYAD members waited in front of the cemetery with a banner read "The heros are immortal" and shouted the slogans "Kevser Mizrak is immortal" and "The revolutionary martyrs are immortal".
After the raid which finished with the murder of Mizrak and the arrest of the revolutionary Sezgin Celik, more people were arrested in Istanbul and Ankara. The TAYAD activist Naime Kara was arrested in her house in Istanbul in the night of December 10, while Zeynep Yayla was arrested on December 11 in Ankara. Both were taken to the anti-terror unit in Ankara. On December 10, shopkeepers in Dedeefendi Street in the Ankara quarter Kurtulus were also taken to the anti-terror unit on December 10 for a questioned.
The case of the raid with the questioning is currently held secret. The "Legal Office of the People" made a written statement on December 12 in which it pointed out that the death of Mizrak is an extra-judicial killing and that with the decision of secrecy, the killing is tried to be hidden.
