During the joyful introducing campaign of MLCP's unity revolution in September 1994, our comrade Erdal Balci, who was assassinated by the police while in action of hanging a banner on 4 November 1994, became the first martyr of the MLCP. The month of November, in which our comrade Erdal Balci became immortal as MLCP's first martyr, later, presented to the history as the "Month of Martyrs" by our Party.

Throughout the month of November, MLCP has promised for revolution to martyrs by many actions such as commemoration meetings, commemoration at graves of the martyrs, writing slogans on to walls, posters, stickers, wall papers, marches and by putting pictures of martyrs on to bus stops and panels. They have made film shows, explaining about the party and martyrs, sang international songs and marches and called workers and labourers to the party and the struggle at commemoration activities and actions organised in tens of cities and towns such as Istanbul, Izmit, Malatya, Ankara and Bursa.

When remembering martyrs, MLCP remembers all revolutionaries and communists who lost their lives in the fight for revolution and socialism. The remembrance of Metin Yurtsever from Hadep together with the member of MLCP/ KGO Aynur Karaman and DHKPC sympathiser Elif Karaman in Izmit, the remembrance of our comrade SFCleyman Yeter together with Rosa Luxemburg, the remembrance of English communist Bill Bland together with Palestinian martyrs and the German communists at the international commemoration organised under the individuality of Ali BugFCn in Rotterdam are only few examples of some commemoration activities held throughout November. While singing the Unity March all together in activities organised during the "Week to Support Palestine" in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, participants have also taken an oath to struggle with the warmth of the November Martyrs Month.

While commemorating martyrs in November just after the celebration of her 10th anniversary, MLCP, before anything else, acts in practising promises given to martyrs. There was striking advancement in remembering martyrs together with workers and labourers, for which they have given their lives for, and in taking their live and struggle to the workers and labourers.

On the way which enlightened by our martyrs, MLCP will continue to heighten her fight with communist will, labour and braveness.
