 The Maoist Communist Party (MCP) announced the realisation of its 2nd congress. The congress, which was organised with the slogan "We will proceed with Maoism and win with the people's war", was ITHAF to the 17 MCP fighters killed by the colonial fascist dictatorship during the preparations for the 2nd congress on June 17, 2005.
In the written statement in which the MCP announced its 2nd congress the following was said: "To the world proletariat, the oppressed nations and people, to the workers, labourers and oppressed of all nationalities in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan! With the realisation of the 2nd congress, our Maoist Communist Party that is a communist post of the international proletariat of Turkey/Northern Kurdistan repeats its clarity concerning its marsh towards the New Democratic Revolution, socialism and communism, and declares its determination to fulfil this historical task taken over with the level of unity achieved and great responsibility."
In the statement it said: „In the history of our party our 1st congress defines a quantitative level on which our problems that are important for our party and the revolution had been discussed and were decided. Our 2nd congress that considers the immortal martyrs and first of all our party leaders Cangöz and Hanbayat, who had been the planners of our 2nd congress hindered to be realised on June 17, 2005 and the creators of our !st congress, as honourable delegates and dedicated our 2nd congress to the Mercan Martyrs because of their historical roles."
While at the congress current political developments all over the world, the relations and direction of the contradictions between imperialist states, the class struggles and developments in the Latin American countries, the political situation in Far Asia and Maoist movements were analysed, the political situation of the Middle East and Turkey/Northern Kurdistan were analysed, too, and the realisation of the policy of action unity with the Kurdish oppressed was pointed out.
