The women of our party MLCP hanged up banners in the Istanbul quarter 1 Mayis and at Gebze Ulastepe calling on women to join the celebrations on March 8, the International Labouring Women`s Day. In their statement the MLCP women said: "On the eve of 8 March, women in our country still face sexual, national and class exploitation. They have either been the victims of the greed for profit in Bursa, or they have had a life based on denial by the army`s butts and boots or they have been caught by the slavery fire of the traditional patriarchic society. However, in this situation which is like a press, our women still continue to disperse seeds for freedom. They have become snowdrops in the honoured resistance of the Kurdish people, and revolt roses in the resistance of Novamed."
