On March, 14 ten thousands of workers and labourers went on the streets to protest against the draft law SSGSS first of all in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and Adana. Besides the warning strikes realised in many cities against SSGSS which means health according to money and pension in grave, ten thousands of labourers filled the streets. In Istanbul 20.000 workers and labourers marched from Cerrahpasa Hospital to Sarachane Park. The mass called on the government to resign and showed its determination to defend its rights. The strike was actively supported by many different unions such as DISK , KESK , Haber-Is , Deri-Is , Genel-Is, Tez Koop-Is , BES and Hava-Is . Besides the unions, democratic mass organisations and parties such as ESP , EMEP , DTP , HOC and CHD were also on the street to protest SSGSS.
In Izmir, 50.000 labourers marched against SSGSS. They continously shouted the slogans „Worker, official, hand in hand towards general strike" and „Government resign.". Work was stopped at many work places such as at post offices, hospitals, schools and courts. In Ankara 3000 workers went on the streets realising a warning strike, and in Adana 2.500 people gathered at Hastaneler Kavsagi.
At the actions organised in different cities following the call by Emep Platform workers stopped traffic and clashed with the police.
After the actions, the government declared to make „changes" in the draft law.
While Prime minister Erdoğan announced the strikes as illegal, the workers demand the total cancellation of SSGSS.
