The march called „Labourer solution to the Kurdish question" organised by the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ) before Newroz has been started on March 16, on the day of the anniversary of the massacres Halabja and Beyazit. Socialists set off from Istanbul passing Bursa, Ankara, Adana and Antep and will celebrate Newroz with the Kurdish labourers together. The ESP will continue with its call „freedom for peace, brotherhood for equality" with actions and rallies in different cities against the annihilation and denial policy of the fascist dictatorship.
On March 16, the ESP organised an action in front of Galatasaray Post Office, Istanbul. At the action banners were opened read „Turkish people, this call is upon you, labourer solution to the Kurdish question" and „freedom for peace, brotherhood for equality". In a statement read out, Turlish labourers were called not to send their children to the war anymore for the dirty profit of others. Furthermore, a „labourer people federation model" was proposed in the statement as well as some current demands of the ESP. Among those demands are the immediate end to the attacks on the Kurdish people, the conviction of those responsible for the dirty war and the dissolution of the counter guerrilla organisations.
While the Socialist Youth Association ( SGD ), Labourer Women Association ( EKD ), Peace and Brotherhood Forum and the union Tekstil-Sen are actively supporting the ESP's march for brotherhood, a big group consisting of representatives of unions such as SES , Sine-Sen and Belediye-Is as well as workers published a statement in whi9ch they declared their support of the march „Labourer solution to the Kurdish question."
The ESP activists will continue their march through different cities with different actions and activities to reach Amed on March 21.
