Atilim newspaper writer Hasan Cosar and SGD activist Semra Yalcinkaya were again not released at their trial at the 11th Heavy Penalty Court in Ankara on March 19. Therefore, the arbitrary and illegal imprisonment continues. Cosar`s lawyer said that the imprisonment of Cosar is not based on any legal ground and that the paper that is used as evidence could be created by everyone. He drew attention on the fact that dozens of people have been released so far who had been imprisoned with the same reasons and demanded the release of Cosar. Yalcinkaya`s lawyer, however, declared that Yalcinkaya appeared on the paper as "the responsible for the Socialist Youth Association of Corum ", but that there was no such an association during this period at Corum and demanded her release.
