The strike of the Tuzla shipyard workers was greatly supported by workers of other sectors, workers` unions and the families of shipyard workers as well as different groups of the society. On the international level, some representatives of unions were present to show their support of the strike. The names of the groups and organisations coming to the strike post by shouting the slogan "Long live class solidarity" are as follows:
-Families of shipyard workers losing their relative in an accident, so-called "work murder". {divide}
-Unions: SES , BES , Emekli-Sen and Medical Association from Kocaeli; affiliated to Turk-Is the unions Deri-Is (Tuzla branch), Hava-Is , Basın- Is, Haber- Is, Petrol- Is, Yol- Is, Harb-Is , Tez Koop-Is , TUMTIS as well as Unilever workers who are currently on strike; members and leaders of the unions Çelik-Is, Nakliyat-Is , Birleşik Metal- Is, Sine-Sen , Egitim-Sen , KESK Istanbul Branches` Platform and Tekstil-Sen affiliated to DISK .
- ODTU and Bogazici University students, students` union Genç-Sen,
- MPs Sebahat Tuncel and Akin Birdal of the DTP , MP Ufuk Uras of the ODP
- Political parties and platforms as well as democratical mass organisations: ESP , EMEP , TMMOB CityCoordination, leaders of the Chemists` Chamber, Labourer Movement Party Emekçi Hareket Partisi, Socialist Democracy Party, Halkevleri , Socialist Youth Association, İHD Istanbul Branch, Association of Labourer Women, DHP, Feminist Women, Federation of Revolutionary of the 78'ies, Foundation of the `78ies, Kaldirac, Halk Kültür Merkezleri, Alinteri, International Association of Solidarity with Workers, TIBDER and Patriotic Front.
- Organisations showing international solidarity: Daniel Blackburn, Central Director of the International Centre for Trade Union Rights; Claude Even, member of CC of the Revolutionary Communist Union France as well as unionists from Chile, Argentine and Brezil who had joined the Young Workers` Meeting last week. Latin American participants came to the strike by shouting the slogan "Venceromos / We will win."

While the ESP is carrying out solidarity work with the strike in labourer quarters of Istanbul and in other cities, its members also participated in a huge block.
The Tuzla strike was also saluted by political parties and platforms as well as solidarity actions of unions in different cities. Street actions were organised at Dersim, Amed, Malatya, Izmir, Adana, Antakya and Mersin.
