Tens of thousands of people condemned the
Sivas Massacre of
2 July 1993 on its 15th anniversary in front of Hotel Madimak. Relatives of 33 intellectual who were killed in
Madimak Hotel , Allevite associations and organisations and various political parties joined the rally where it was demanded that Hotel Madimak should be turned into a museum, that the responsible ones for the massacre should be judged and the 2nd of July should be announced as an international commemoration day. Halkevleri , Partizan and many other organisations were present at the rally. They left carnations in front of Hotel Madimak in the memory of 33 people who had lost their lives. {divide}
In Istanbul, the Sivas Massacre was condemned by democratic mass organisations, trade unions and parties, among them PSAKD,

SODAP and DTP at Kadikoy Square. Ten thousand people who joined the rally raised the slogans “The murderer state will pay an account”, “The murderer is the clounter-guerrilla state at the Sivas Massacre”
