1500 of progressive, revolutionary and democratic organisations expressed their rage in a march from the tunnel until Galatasaray Square at Taksim, İstanbul organised against the massacre of Gungoren where 18 people had been killed and dozens injured.
The ESP , DTP , Halkevleri , SODAP , Alinteri, EMEP , ODP , KESK and many organisations opened the banner read "This dirt can only be cleaned by the revolution" and shouted slogans such as "Down with the MGK , MIT , JITEM , counter-guerrilla" and "the gangs will render account to the people". The mass demanded the counter-guerrilla massacre to be enlightened. {divide}
In the statement read at the action in the name of the organisations it was emphasized that the truth wants to be hidden by claiming the PKK to be the offender of the attack and that the bomb that exploded at Gungoren exposed the lies of the political ruling that with the Ergenekon operations tried to give the impression to have started a struggle against the counter-guerrilla.
The statement ended with the following words: "They have followed the way to contaminate the revolutionary and Kurdish-patriotic organisations with their own dirt. The media must write the truth instead of serving this lie and the bloody history. The system parties will have to render account for its chauvinist politics of nowadays and cannot hinder the brotherhood of the people. This dirt can only be cleaned by the revolution."
