The second hearing of the trial started by Istanbul Governorship claiming that "students can`t found a union" in order to ban the students`union took place on September 24 at the labour court at Sirkeci, Istanbul. The Genc-Sen activists who organized an action supported by many organizations and unions before the hearing was started declared that the right of students to found a union is given in art. 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Right. Malatya Genc-Sen made a written statement saying that the struggle of the students` union founded at 40 universities will continue.
