The Turkish state and leaders of the army who were deeply shocked by the guerrilla's attack on the police station organized an urgent meeting. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan stopped his trip through Middle Asia halfway in Turkmenistan and came back calling on the "Anti-Terror High Council" for a meeting. The meeting was joined by the prime minister, the minister of interior, the ministers of defence and the minister of justice, the prime ministry, the MIT undersecretary and the chief of general staff, as well as the ground force commander and the general commander of the gendarmerie. After the meeting it was announced that Aktütün police station and four other police stations were decided to be moved and that the operations will be continued. Other points discussed were the extension of the minimum arrest time, the right on acting without the directive of the public prosecutor as well as a change of laws allowing the investigation without the obligation of having a lawyer present. When after the attack the Turkish state hastened the psychological war propaganda through the bourgeois media, racist-fascist actions were organised in many cities and Kurdish associations and institutions attacked.
