As work-related accidents leading to death have not stopped and the government has not taken any precautions so far, Limter-Is organised an action in front of Cicek Shipyard, Istanbul on February 21. Together with the death of Cemil Akgul, who died from an electric shock when working overtime on February 18, the number of those dying from work-related accidents at Tuzla shipyards has increased to 120 since 1992. Limter-Is laid down a black wreath at the entrance of the shipyard on which it said "It's been enough! Who is next?" and carried a banner read "120 are not enough, kill more". In a statement made in the name of the union, it was said that more than 25,000 workers have been laid off by the bosses under the pretext of the crisis and that the rights the workers won last year through their strikes are tried to be usurped one after another. The union emphasized that 7 workers were killed in accidents at the work place yet in 2009 and called upon the workers not to vote for the AKP government, the bosses' party, and the other system parties in the upcoming local elections. At the action the shipyard workers shouted the slogans "Workers unite and stop the murders" and "We want to work and live humanly".
